Towards the end of last year I shared over on Instagram that the words simplify and surrender were on my heart for This Little Lighthouse in 2026.

At the time I decided to put those words into action by listing all of our resources for free over on Kofi. Thinking that would simplify (and surrender) things and bless people at the same time. I quickly realised though that wasn’t going to be sustainable long-term and in March reverted to selling our resources over on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) and our website as before.

Then about two weeks ago TPT announced big changes to their seller accounts.

From 1st January 2027 the premium seller account, which we currently hold, is changing to an ‘exclusive seller account’ – the biggest change being that sellers who hold this type of account (as opposed to the basic seller option) can only sell their resources through TPT, hence the word exclusive, nowhere else. Further to this, the payout rate will decrease from 80% to 77.5%, meaning a decrease in earnings on each sale. If you would like to understand this in more detail, you can read the full breakdown of the TPT announcement here.

Having considered this change, we have decided that we will not be renewing our account in March 2027. Our resources will be available to purchase through TPT until then, but not thereafter. Instead we will focus on selling our resources here on our website.

We have been doing some work on the site behind the scenes and reshooting some of our product photos which is really exciting and I’ll be continuing to add to our Europe resources.

To simplify things further and focus our efforts, our blog posts will be solely published on our website, not on Substack as well. I may still post the occasional musings under my personal name here on Substack, but not for This Little Lighthouse going forward.

If you would like to continue to receive our news and blog posts (as well as exclusive free resources and discounts – just for subscribers) please sign-up to our newsletter by completing the form below.

Starting from November, on the first Monday of every month, we will give away one of our digital resources to an email subscriber (chosen at random)! So to be in with a chance of being sent one of our resources for free each month, please make sure to sign-up!

Thank you and bye for now.
